The cottage comprises 1-2 double bedrooms, two wet rooms with wc’s and an open plan lounge/kitchen with dining area. The kitchen is fully fitted with an electric hob, oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. An onsite communal laundry room includes a commercial washer and dryer.
There is onsite parking. There are six other cottages on the site. The village shop and post office are a five-minute walk and a bus service offers access to Reading, Twyford, Winnersh and Wokingham.
Criteria
To be considered applicants must be:
- In reduced financial circumstances with a real housing need
- In reasonably good health but capable of independent living
- To live in the parish of Hurst or adjacent parishes
- Key workers may be considered
- No pets
- No smoking
- Residents are appointed by the Trustees as beneficiaries and pay a maintenance charge instead of rent
